Japanese Ramen Simulator: Shop Levels & Verified Ingredient Unlocks

Check launch-patch ingredient purchase and order thresholds at levels 25, 26 and 28, clearly separated from achievement milestones.

Which Shop Level unlocks have been verified?

Seven groups of purchase or order thresholds are explicitly documented in the launch patch at Shop Levels 25, 26 and 28. This is a partial table for the current Early Access version. It does not cover every ingredient, device or earlier level, and purchase availability must be distinguished from customer-order availability.

Three confirmed order milestones: five soft drinks at 25, chicken or pork Tantanmen at 26 and beef at 28.
Three confirmed customer-order milestones, not a full unlock tree. Purchase thresholds remain separate in the table. Source for confirmed facts

All rows below come from the official Day 1 update, version v0.1.48.17626. The table groups items exactly where the patch supplies a shared condition.

Item or order group Verified Shop Level What becomes available
Cola, Zero-Sugar Cola, Soda, Oolong Tea and Barley Tea 25 Purchases and customer orders; changed from Level 26
Bonito Flakes 25 Purchase
Bok Choy 26 Purchase; changed from Level 25
Bok Choy and Garlic Chives toppings 26 Customer orders requesting these toppings
Tantan Tare and Garlic Chives 26 Purchase
Tantanmen with chicken or pork broth 26 Customer orders
Tantanmen with beef broth 28 Customer orders

Partial unlock table: a missing item or level means that its threshold is not established by this table. It does not mean that the item is absent from the game. For preparation rather than progression, use the ramen recipe guide.

Why does purchase availability differ from order availability?

The patch sometimes specifies purchasing supplies and sometimes specifies customers ordering a dish or topping. Those are separate progression facts. For example, the Bonito Flakes row establishes purchase at Level 25, while the Tantanmen rows establish order availability by broth. Do not fill a missing condition by borrowing it from another row.

When comparing your game with a guide, check the exact item name, current Shop Level and which action you are trying to perform. An ingredient appearing in the purchasing interface is not, by itself, evidence of every possible customer order using it.

For Tantan Tare, carrying and pouring rules are separate from its Level 26 purchase threshold. A newly available ingredient still needs to be handled through the current cooking prompts.

What can I check after the shop gains a level?

Review the newly unlocked ingredients and tools shown by the game, then inspect the purchasing choices and current menu. This is an editorial checking routine. The patch specifically confirms that the gamepad’s right stick scrolls the newly unlocked list, but it does not provide the full contents of every level.

  1. Note the Shop Level you reached.
  2. Read the newly unlocked list; use the right stick to scroll when playing with a gamepad.
  3. Check whether the relevant patch row is a purchase or order condition.
  4. Look for the exact item in the appropriate current interface.
  5. Prepare for the new orders using the tutorial and ingredient prompts.

The official store describes increasing Shop Level as unlocking ingredients and equipment. It does not publish a numerical experience formula. For a new device, test your kitchen layout before opening rather than assuming a purchase alone completes preparation.

Are the Level 5, 10, 15 and 20 achievements unlock entries?

No ingredient or equipment unlock is established by those achievement conditions alone. The official achievement list recognizes reaching Shop Levels 5, 10, 15 and 20. It does not name the supplies awarded at each milestone, so those levels should not be inserted into the ingredient table as inferred unlocks.

The Steam achievement page names “Humble Beginnings,” “A Neighborhood Favorite,” “The Talk of the Town” and “A Legendary Ramen Shop.” See all achievements for their conditions. Earlier preview progression tables can also differ from the released patch; use the current seven rows where applicable instead of claiming a complete Level 1–28 tree.
